My mission is to support your health and performance, both on and off the field

Meet Briana, Your Registered Dietitian

I’m a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist specializing in optimal nutrition for athletes and those who exercise. I’m a board Certified Specialist in Sports Dietetics (CSSD). I work closely with teenage and above adults to match nutrition intake with optimal athletic performance.

I understand that nutrition is unique to each individual and I support clients based on their lifestyle and food preferences. I understand food is emotional and I meet you where you are to support the notion that food is fuel and nourishment.

I enjoy trail running, mountain biking, gravel biking, rock climbing, hiking, and skiing in the white mountains. My longest running race has been a 50K in Maine. I understand that matching athletic performance with nutrition needs is not an easy task, and I am here to help!

My Sports Nutrition Background

My sports nutrition background began in 2018 when I was chosen as the only performance intern for the Minnesota Twins Baseball Organization for Spring Training. I have a long history of working with athletes through certified personal training and group fitness training. After passing a board exam and spending over 2000+ hours in athlete care I received my Certification as a Specialist in Sports Dietetics (CSSD).

I continue my sports nutrition work as the Sports Dietitian for Bowdoin College athletes and staff. I work closely with a local triathlon group and running group in Portsmouth, New Hampshire as well as high school cross country.

If you’re frustrated with the amount of energy you are putting into your nutrition and exercise plan, but not getting the results you desire, then you’ve come to the right place!

There are many misconceptions about nutrition out there in general, especially for athletes

Food is not always easy to get or easy to eat based on time and other individual lifestyle factors. Briana provides tools for athletes and those who exercise to have food ready before hunger hits. She delves into cognitive behavioral therapy to change negative behaviors about body image or food choices so that individuals can enjoy and succeed in both life and their sport to the fullest. She especially loves helping individuals learn how food fuels their brain and their athletic events and how food does not need to be demonized.

Support

I support individuals in their sport and lifestyle performance. I help you understand how to make a balanced plate, how much to eat for your level of activity, and mitigate any digestive issues.

Empower

I empower people to live their best and healthiest life, using food to support their passions. I debunk nutrition myths and teach you how to live a balanced life in a healthy way.
