About: This presentation builds upon nutrition for 1/2 and marathon running, paying special attention for those aged around 40+ years old. If you are training and training, but not seeing the performance gains you are working so hard for, it is likely your nutrition habits. What once worked when we were in our 20's and 30's, doesn't always work in our 40's +. We will go over what an endurance athlete needs in terms of caloric intake and macronutrients, as well as special attention to certain micronutrients. We will review what is needed before, during and after runs in terms of fuel and hydration as well as look at a sample meal plan for endurance athletes 40+ years old.
